5 Items Sure to Keep You Cozy This Winter

As someone who grew up in the South but has since moved to New York City, I'm always searching for things that will help me stay warm and cozy. While I do tend to run hot, I don't like to use the radiators in my apartment. Because when they are on, my 425 square foot abode immediately turns into Satan's butthole. Plus, the apartment naturally retains heat, so it's mostly fine, and I would rather bundle up than have a panic attack because I can't breathe due to the stifling heat.

If you're like me, you want stuff that's cute, comfy, and quality. That's why I test every item we in the shop before we release it to you. Because if it's not cozy, what's the point? Here are the five items I'm planning to use non-stop this winter.

First up, the beanie.

I was stoked about the first beanie we chose. It came in this adorable mustard color and looked positively sick in the mock-ups. I was so stoked that it was one of the first samples I ordered. However, when it came, I knew the "one size fits most" description was... overstated. While it technically fit, it squeezed my big ol' noggin to the point of a headache.

Never fear, pals. I scoured the reviews of the other beanie options to make sure we picked one that was cute and was more likely to fit us bigger-headed folks. I got one in the "single child-free millennial" design, and I'm so into it. It's cozy and snug without being overly tight. The skull detail makes me feel like a badass. But honestly... I'd love it in any of our designs.

Next, the mug!

I am a beverage goblin, through and through. I need to be sipping on a variety of beverages all day. I know I'm not alone in this, which is why we designed beverage vessels in a variety of sizes to suit your various needs.

We have an adorable 12oz enamel mug, perfect for tea or your stronger espresso beverages. Our ceramic mug comes in either 15 or 20oz (it's microwavable and dishwasher safe!) for the serious warm beverages. I made a spiked hot cider/toddy situation in my 20 oz one and it was perfection. Last but not least, we have a 25 oz travel mug for the beverage goblin on the go. (Also, for my fellow queers, we have 16 oz glasses for the iced coffee we drink year-round).

The crewneck sweatshirt.

I love me a crew neck. We took extra care when choosing which crewneck we'd offer. Not only is this bad boy cozy AF, it's available in sizes S-5XL. Because we want as many people as possible to be able to rock these empowering, cheeky designs and be hella comfy at the same time. I have it in the "Already Whole" design, but I'm considering snagging another.

We got hoodies, y'all.

I know some of y'all are die-hard hoodie fans. Never fear. We made a few of those as well! The most popular by far has been the "Pinnacle of Creation Cropped Hoodie." I've basically been living in mine since it arrived. She is perfection. If you'd like a full-length hoodie, however, you can rock the "Already Whole" design and avoid the paparazzi simultaneously (you know, if you put the hood up... never mind it was funnier in my head).

Folks, I present the throw blanket.

We saved the best for last. I cannot express how much I love this blankie. It's lightweight while still being super warm. It's soft. And the designs. Y'all. They look so dang good in this format! I'm in love. Each design comes in a 50"x60" or 60"x80" option. They are such a vibe.

For those of y'all not participating in cuffing season, I salute you for not texting your ex and offer you these empowering pieces of merch to keep you warm. Leave a comment and let the people know which one you'll be rocking this winter! Also... we want to see it! Post a picture on the 'gram and tag @maryb.safrit so we can fangirl you.
