QUEER CHRISTIAN WRITER, PODCASTER & SPEAKER

It can be hard to find your people

I'm MaryB. Safrit (yes, you have to say the “B”). I'm a NYC-based relationship coach, author, host of the Found Family podcast, and maker of slightly unhinged merch. I'm also your friendly neighborhood bisexual, recovering people-pleaser, and current goblin obsessed with all things relationship-building, hospitality, spirituality, and culture. Also, LOTR, but I promise I only bring it up occasionally.

If you're new to these parts, welcome. Not in the sketchy evangelical "everyone is welcome" bait and switch kind of way. This is a space where you are celebrated. I truly believe this space wouldn't be the same without you.

Here, you can be where you are, in all the nitty-gritty weirdness and beauty of your actual life. I think that's where the stuff of living is found. It's the place I create from. It's where I invite you to hang out with me. I'll probably bring Jesus up occasionally because I think he is extra present in the nitty-gritty with us. But above all, this is a space for curiosity, audacious imagination, and general tomfoolery.

Whether through written words, honest conversations on the podcast, or at events, I create spaces of authentic connection with self and others.

What the people are saying

Each Found Family episode is exactly what I need for the week before I even realize it sometimes. Grateful for this podcast + community!!

-Elizabeth Delgato Black, CEO of Kaleidoscope

Mary B has such a conversational tone and approach, this book is like a conversation between an old friend. It is relatable and funny, and a good reminder that you're not insane out there- we're all humans and we're all trying. Highly recommend.
